The <strong>underpass<\/strong>\u2014opened to coincide with the <strong>reopening of schools<\/strong> and the <strong>European Mobility Week<\/strong>\u2014is part of the broader development project linked to the new accommodation hub on <strong>Via Briantea<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This significant infrastructure investment, worth nearly <strong>\u20ac1 million<\/strong>, also includes the construction of an <strong>80-space car park<\/strong> on the Briantea side. The <strong>500-metre-long<\/strong> cycle path runs beneath both <strong>Via Briantea<\/strong> and the <strong>railway line to Carnate<\/strong>, connecting the <strong>Loreto sports fields<\/strong> area with <strong>Via Brambilla<\/strong>, which borders the <strong>southern edge of the hospital<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The underpass serves a strategic role, linking the <strong>Longuelo school campus<\/strong> with the hospital area and the <strong>provincial transport network<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bergamo\u2019s cycling infrastructure continues to expand, with plans already in place for an extension next year that will connect this new segment to <strong>Treviolo<\/strong>.
